Pastor JaMar & First Lady Vontysha ( TY) Pittman
PASTOR BIOGRAPHY
Rev. JaMar D. Pittman, was born on July 24, 1976 of the mother Selma M. Davis and the late Anthony Branner. At the age of 2 years ago Rev. JaMar D. Pittman was adopted by the late Rev. James and Anna Pittman of Pontiac, MI. Sis. Anna Bell Hawkins Pittman was the cousin of Rev. JaMar D. Pittman and took him in as her own son. Rev. JaMar D. Pittman has 3 forster siblings one brother and 2 sisters, 2 biological sisters, and 2 nieces. Rev. JaMar D. Pittman attended the Pontiac, MI School District is a graduate from Pontiac Northern Senior High School. He also attended and received some studies at Oakland Community College, DeVry Technical Institute in Decatur, GA for Architectural Engineer, and Theology Seminary School at Birmingham Bible Institute which he received his bible certificate. Rev. JaMar D. Pittman is a prodigy son of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. JaMar D. Pittman, was baptized at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church in an early age by his grandfather the late Pastor Rev. Alvin Hawkins. Rev. JaMar Pittman, was licensed under the late Pastor Emeritus Rev. Billy D. Allen on May 05, 2005. While at Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Pittman, held many positions which included: Youth Usher Board, Youth Choir, Associate Minister, Christian Education Director, and President of the Pastor Aide Committee. Rev. Pittman, relocated back to Michigan from West Decatur, GA. In 1997 God blessed Rev. JaMar D. Pittman by connecting him to his queen, Sis. Vontysha S. Pittman and they married 2005. They have two healthy sons, born Bro. JaVon Anthony Pittman in 2004 and Bro. Jonte' Deshawn Pittman in 2006. They later moved their family to Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, where he worked as an Associate Minister, and Youth Spiritual Leader under the Pastor Emeritus Rev. Roger Jackson.
As Pastor Rev. Roger Jackson retired, Rev. JaMar D. Pittman was elected as Pastor, and ordained by his home church Liberty Missionary Baptist Church by Rev. Dr. Rodney N. Tolbert Sr. He served at Greater Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for 4 years during the pandemic season as Senior Pastor. God led Rev. JaMar D. Pittman and his family back to his home church of Liberty Missionary Baptist Church after the pandemic. He came back to help out by assisting Rev. Dr. Rodney N. Tolbert Sr. and the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church family. Rev. JaMar D. Pittman became the Assistant Pastor, the President of Pastor Aide Committee, and a member of the Church Restoration Committee. Rev. JaMar D. Pittman, was also born and raised in the Wolverine State Missionary Baptist Convention, National Baptist Congress, Crystal Lake District Associate Minister Association, and Oakland County Ministerial Fellowship Association. Rev. JaMar D. Pittman has been employed with General Motors for over 17plus years and licensed Master Barber over 20 plus years. God blessed Rev. JaMar D. Pittman to a new journey in his life to head North of Michigan to the Greater Galilee Baptist Church Flint, MI. Where Love Is The Foundation, By Which We Are United.
